The Laekenois is the rarest representatives of the Belgians, and like all dogs of this breed, he is working joy, teachable and aptitude for sports and services and is primarily used as protection and family dog. The name comes from the city of Laeken, where a shepherd family in Castle Park of Laeken bred these dogs. The Laeken can be led very well, is reservedly, very waked up thereby, to educate learn-willingly and well. Nevertheless, he is willing to protect his family. He is very lively, watchful, very fond of children and well integratable into the family.
